Subscriptions & refunds.

How allowances work, how to stop renewals, and what to do when a payment or song goes wrong.

Last updated 29 October 2026

At a glance

  • Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled.
  • Unused monthly allowances do not roll over.
  • Cancellation does not remove statutory refund or quality rights.

This summary is a guide. The full wording below explains the detail.

Understand your plan

Price, allowance and download access appear on Plans and before purchase. Paid allowances reset on the billing cycle; the free allowance uses a rolling 30-day window.

Audio uses an allowance when the provider accepts a request. Drafting and reviewing lyrics does not itself use audio allowance. If an accepted job later fails, contact us for an allowance/result review rather than repeatedly generating replacements.

Stop future renewals

  1. Sign in to the account with the subscription.
  2. Open Plans and choose “Manage subscription”.
  3. Complete the portal’s cancellation steps and check its effective end date.

Cancellation normally stops the next renewal, with access through the paid period shown in the portal. If controls fail, contact or email us. You do not have to use a broken portal to exercise a right.

Deleting a song, disconnecting an assistant or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. When requesting account deletion, mention any subscription so we can handle both requests together.

Initial cancellation rights

UK consumers normally have 14 days after entering an initial distance contract for services or digital content to cancel. Different rules can apply to a service starting or digital content being delivered during that period.

These terms, a pre-ticked box or use alone are not the express request/acknowledgement needed to remove digital-content rights. We will not rely on a waiver without the required steps. Any proportionate charge for early services must be lawful and supported by the required prior information and request.

Send a clear statement using the cancellation contact form or contact@melodylearn.com. You do not need a particular form or reason.

Failures, faults and billing mistakes

Faulty or misdescribed content, or a service not supplied with reasonable care and skill, may entitle you to correction, repeat performance, price reduction or refund under consumer law. These rights are separate from stopping renewals.

Provide your account email, song title/ID, approximate date and what went wrong. For payments, include the date and receipt/invoice reference. Never send full card details, security codes or passwords.

We will assess the issue and remedy due. We cannot promise every artistic preference will be met, but there is no blanket “all sales are final” rule overriding statutory rights.

How refunds are handled

We explain the outcome and proposed remedy. Statutory cancellation refunds are made without undue delay and within the applicable legal period, normally 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling. Refunds normally use the original payment method unless agreed otherwise, without a refund fee.

A saved enquiry is not automatic approval or an instant Stripe refund. We review it and reply to your email. Cancelling renewal alone does not refund an earlier payment.

Optional cancellation wording

You can copy this into a message. Using it is optional.
