This summary is a guide. The full wording below explains the detail.

More than cookies

Websites can store information using cookies, local storage and similar technologies. MelodyLearn uses browser storage for account context, anonymous request identification, privacy choices and, only if enabled, usage analytics.

Read this alongside the Privacy policy. Services you interact with, such as Stripe or your sign-in provider, also have their own storage and privacy notices.

Essential storage

Base44 account/session entries support sign-in and authenticated requests. Keys include base44_access_token and related app-context entries. Never share their contents in a support message.

melody_privacy_preferences records the analytics choice, choice version and time saved. It is valid for up to 180 days; browser controls may remove it sooner.

Account-context storage lasts until removed by sign-out, app/provider behaviour or browser clearing. Declining analytics does not disable essential account storage. Blocking all storage can prevent sign-in or remembered choices.

Optional analytics

Optional Base44 usage analytics starts after you enable it. It may include an analytics session identifier, account-linked usage, referrer/campaign attribution and session activity. We use it to understand and improve the service, not to send marketing messages.

The session entry is base44_analytics_session_id. Choosing “Essential only” clears that entry and reloads if needed to stop the current optional tracker. Base44 also uses the same key to identify anonymous API requests, so it may be recreated when you use the site without signing in, even with optional analytics off. Its presence alone does not mean usage analytics is enabled. It does not erase reports already received; contact us about data-rights requests.

Operational logging needed to run and protect the service is separate. Our app does not add advertising or retargeting pixels.

Change your choice

You can choose “Essential only” or “Allow analytics” together, and change that choice here or in the footer. Changes reload the page, so save your work first.

If a choice is missing, invalid or expired, optional analytics stays off. Browser controls let you inspect or remove site storage; clearing account entries may sign you out.

Other services and requests

Stripe and sign-in providers may use security/session storage when you use them. Google Fonts serves typography. Audio playback connects to its host. These requests can disclose connection details such as an IP address to the provider.

We review technologies as the service changes. Contact contact@melodylearn.com if you have questions or find behaviour that differs from this explanation.
